Winchester Jazz Festival 2017 will take place throughout the city from 21-24th September. Audiences can expect four days or performances by major Jazz and Swing acts from across the UK, as well as showcasing some of our best local musicians.

Andy Nowak at Cabinet Rooms

Join us on Sunday 24 September for a glass of prosecco and an exclusive live jazz performance for Winchester Jazz Festival. We shall be joined by acclaimed South West based Jazz pianist Andy Nowak for a small and intimate performance on the final day of the festival.

Andy has played with Jocelyn Brown, Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, Art Themen, Simon Spillet, Andy Clyndert, Clare Teal and Claire Martin to name a few. He has held jazz piano teaching positions at the prestigious Wells Cathedral School and also at Clifton College, Bristol. His piano trio - the ANt - recorded their debut album entitled ‘Sorrow And The Phoenix’ in 2016 and launched it in 2017 in an Arts Council supported tour of the South West and London, garnering national critical acclaim for the recording and live performances.

Cabinet Rooms was set up in 2014 by two Winchester-based gentlemen who enjoy learning about food and drink and, sometimes, blog about it too.

From Ginchester to Winchester Cocktail Week, their events are specially designed for like-minded food and drink lovers who enjoy discovering new things in a fun and relaxed environment.
